DIY Floral Headpiece

In honor of the upcoming Ke$ha concert my friends and I will be attending, I decided to take inspiration from one of Ke$ha's tour looks and create my very own floral headpiece.  It is super cheap and easy to make, and adds a girly statement to any outfit.

Inspiration:

To make this, you will need:

  • a hot glue gun

  • cheap silk flowers (I got mine at Walmart)

  • scissors and 3/8 to 1/2 inch elastic (0.97 at Walmart)

  • scrap piece of fabric

Instructions

  1. First measure the elastic around your head.  Make sure the elastic is tight enough to not fall down, but not too tight!

2.  Make a mark where you want to cut the elastic.

3.  Hot glue the elastic together, making a loop.

4.  Now you should have the skeleton of the headband!

5.  Next, remove the flowers from the stem.

6.  Trim the pokey part of the leftover stem with scissors.

7.  Arrange the flowers how you want them to be placed on the headband.

8.  Glue strip of fabric around elastic.

9.  Glue flowers on one at a time!

Voila!  A floral headpiece!
